Must have made a nice change for mountain rescue who are used to carrying overweight townies with sprained ankles down Roseberry!

Great story.

It's not far from where I live and I've only ever been up once. I need to walk up again as it's a lovely place.

Didn’t know the gazette did uplifting stories (IGMC), looking at the front page when I’m visiting grand parents it always seem packed with depressing news...

Amazing. Chuffed for Paddy.
Roseberry Topping is the 'mountain' of my childhood and one of the few things I miss about living in Middlesbrough / Teesside. There's just something magical about it.

Memories of my childhood going up there in winter, with fog in the valley and glorious sunshine on the top. Superb story...strangely recognised a few people on those photos, but havnt lived in t he area for 20 years.

My Mrs was born just down the coast in Saltburn, she used to ride her bike to Roseberry Topping and drawn the countryside from it.

She often mentions it every time I go surfing there 🤷‍♂️

And the nose fell of it one day..

Beautiful area, and a totally stunning viewpoint.

Bad thing about Roseberry is that you can see Teesside from the top 🙁

This is more in tune with the Gazette

I'm not an ex. I live in Saltburn 🙂

It's a while since I've carried my bike up there.
