I'm surprised there isn't a thread already. David Warner, "that bloke what you recognise from absolutely everything" has died aged 80.

I lot of us are of the age where he'll certainly be remembered for The Omen or maybe even more for Tron

Seen a lot of stuff he’s been in, but didn’t know the name, and don’t think I’ve ever even made the connection that Sark from Tron is also in Time Bandits, and the baddie from Titanic! So in my case, “that bloke what you recognise from absolutely nothing” 😀 Maybe that’s the sign of a great character actor?

"God isn't interested in technology. He knows nothing of the potential of the microchip or the silicon revolution. Look how He spends His time! Forty-three species of parrots! Nipples for men!"

Still my favourite film of all time and David Warner shall forever be the definitive Evil

"hand me the map and you shall at least walk out of here on human feet.."

A couple of times, yes.

He was also in a few Big Finish outings playing some sort of alternate / mirror universe Doctor.

me too. was surprised as he seemed rather straight laced (ball tampering and fighting with Root in pubs excluded) and fit.
