Looking for a nice place for 40th birthday dinner either in or within 5-10 miles of Hartlepool. Any locals able to recommend please?

Some decent ones in & around the marina, we went to an Indian called Cinnamon which was good. Dunno if it's still there. The Spotted Cow in Elwick used to be good for decent pub stuff. Failing that, Cod Almighty in Seaton Carew was excellent for fish & chips!
The White Hart in Hart village, Castle Eden Inn? Both 'USED' to be good but I haven't been in either for yonks
