Can this be done for NiMH rechargeable batteries? I went through about 20 yesterday which probably means they're goosed. Should they be drained fully and recharged? Or thrown away? Can they be given a new lease of life?
They do get used alot and are probably a couple of years old, not wanting to slate a brand, they are READY whenEVER I need them, so not the cheapest...
Are 7-dayshop batteries any good? Why won't they post abroad???

I would guess that everready are not great quality.
What you really need if you are into your rechargable batteries is this:

For batteries 7dayshop are OK, but not the best.

These days I use Sanyo Eneloop, still the best on the market (though others are probably as good by now).

Here is a good shop:

good charger can manage a battery better and tell you when it's borked too.

I use one from 7dayshop that works fine - has leds telling you when its charging, has a discharge setting and flashes when the battery is dead and can do up to 8x AA or AAA at a time. But they dont sell it anymore. This one might be a good alternative

In fact Ive just ordered some 7dayshop good-to-go to replace some worn out stock 7dayshop batteries which must be three years old.

the good to go batteries are their equivalent, unbranded, eneloop models.

7dayshop "GOOD TO GO" are the similar/same in technology as Sanyo ENELOOP, Panasonic Infinium, Uniross Hybrio, GP Recyko, Sony Cycle Energy, Duracell Active Charge, Hama Ready 4 Power and Camlink's Ready 2 Go batteries - Only Much Better Value of Course !!

Coolio, thanks.
I think I'll give the component shop a go as 7day won't deliver to johnnyforeignerland.

I've already got one of these.

Which doesn't tell you when charging has finished, but does charge AAA batteries.

And one of these.

Which doesn't do AAA, but does tell me when the batteries are charged.
