My favourite authors are Ian Fleming and Duncan Falconer so any recomendations in the same ball-park would be good. Also recently read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trilogy which was excellent.

So I'm looking for a well written novel(s).

Many thanks in advance as always T.

PS No Andy McNabb recomendations please 🙂

For something recent and light: "I am Ozzy". Had me chortling and cringing in equal measure. He's not the anti-Christ, he's a very naughty boy!

I read Michael Connelly's latest during my holiday, "The Scarecrow" it was very good, he's probably the most consistently good US crime author around

I've just started 'The Man Who Cycled the Americas' by Mark Beaumont after attending one of his talks last month.

A good read so far and I hope to have it finished ny the end of my weeks holiday next Friday.

have you read his "team rodent" its quite short but not many folk know about it as its a real life tale of how disney has destroyed the world

Recently I've really enjoyed "the dammed united" also "a snowball in hell" by christopher Brookmyre, hes got a few good books around

Earlyish Tom Clancy.
Band of Brothers is 1.99 at Smiths at the moment.
cherrypick the best of Alisair MacLean, Hammond Innes and Nevil Shute
If you like Fleming, you might like Leslie Charteris's 'Saint' books, if you can still find them around.

Non Fiction, so not in the genre(s) you list, but something to take the heat out of a summer hol

Stalingrad by Antony Beevor, makes fictional adventure seem rather dull and detached from horrific reality
