MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
I've now got three computers at home and it's a bit of a hassle syncing them all (files- music, pics, etc) so I'd quite like some software to do it - something free would be even better!
I have them all on the same home network so they can all see eachother and I do actually use one as the master but then that always needs to be on in order to access the music, pics and so on from the others. I'd rather just have the others automatically update.
I suppose I could get a network drive but would rather not fork out for one as I only recently got a new 500gb drive and it'd also mean files being unavailable on the laptop when away from home.
what sort of volumes of data? Dropbox is great as it stores data 'in the cloud'
Synctoy from Microsoft and its free..
Aye - if it's Windows, then SyncToy is what you want.
A couple of hundred gb in total and while I like the cloud idea I'm not sure if it'd be great for the data volumes and transfer rates.
Synctoy souns good though. Ta
allway sync, cracking bit of FREE kit!
mesh maybe?
SyncToy +1
