Need a shower enclosure, sink, toilet, maybe as a fitted furniture run.

Recommend me somewhere to get them, regale me with your tales of excellent customer service! Bristol based, or online.

Yup, my sunday night is this rock 'n roll :-/

MatalanDirect.com have a large range and are very keen on price. Product is very good quality as well.

Note - I work there, but you can check independent reviews at http://matalan-direct.reviews.co.uk/

I second the local merchants - I found they were no dearer than online and there is the benefit of talking directly to real people. I found mine gave some great advice to ensure I considered all my options and I ended up with two bathrooms I am really pleased with.

I once fitted a bathroom for a customer that was purchased from Homebase. Biggest load of rubbish going.
It looked ok but wasn't going to last. I normally buy from a trade outlet. They usually give bit of discount at the trade counter

I used ideal plumbing, based in Grimsby. For reference, I live near Edinburgh - just ring round a few places that stock things you like and seem easy to deal with, location doesn't really mean much.

Cheers for all the tips.

Oh I plan to avoid homebase and like, their stuff looks poor.

I'm happy with the idea of "local merchant" or online. As I said, any specific local to bristol recommendations would be very welcome.

If anyone wants to recommend/avoid any particular brands/items feel free to chip in there too. The main items I'm after are a short projection toilet, a sink (probably on a cabinet), and a 1000mmx900mm shower tray and 1000mm slider or bifold door. The door's the trickier bit, as it kinda seems you need to try them out to know they're not shonky, or just accept I'm spending £500+ on it...

It's going upstairs, so the tray will be on wooden joists, obviously less solid than a concrete floor so I figure a decent solid tray is a better shout than flexy plastic cheapness.

I'm after good value rather than cheap per se.
