dont!

take your time and write your own, or only use the crappy sites to get the basics down, as in thank the bridesmaids etc.

i did this then wrote my own speech (groom), half the site have sh*T jokes that EVERYONE has heard before..... be orginal!

easier said than done i know, but it will go down better on the day.

even moreso if you are the bestman

+1 for monkey

I was best man last month and started on the internet, ended up just using the structure and adapted one or two of the gags to personalise it a bit.

Spend a good couple of weeks writing and rewriting it, by the time it's done you'll have most of it committed to memory so get some cue cards (keep a full copy to hand though just in case!) as it looks rubbish if you stand there and read it word for word.

When I gave the speech I was so glad I dropped all the canned stuff as it would have felt so cheesy and I'd have felt/looked a right nob. Obviously it went down brilliantly and I spent the rest of the evening receiving congratulationary BJs from the bridesmaids 🙂

a table at the reception is the common location but personally I'd go for something more original, being shot out of a cannon across the grand canyon or perhaps from inside a cow upon top of a giant knitting needle in a carpark full of sago?
