I need a restaurant recommendation that will combine the following factors, in or around the Hexham area;
3 family generations so must cater for or be happy with kids
Selection of vegetarian food
Suitable to celebrate a wedding anniversary

Not quite Hexham, but there is a cracking Indian at Corbrige Railway station. Just a couple of miles down he road.
How does a hotel near Hexham that has its own restaurant grab you? Especially if it happens to be a 14th Century castle?

Not stricktly speaking really veggie friendly but http://www.theratinn.com/ is owned by the people who used to run the Green Room in Hexham. It's a super little country pub with everything source locally and the menu is decided depending on what they get on the day. The one constant is the Rib of Beef for 2 Probably the best bit of Beef I've ever eaten.
