Our 10 year old Siemens washing machine has given up the ghost and the repairer has recommended that we replace it rather than replace. Can anyone recommend a replacement? Our criteria are reliable, good guarantee, good eco rating and a above average payload. Price is not really an issue but prefer to pay below £800.

Well happy with the Miele one I got about 4 years ago. Very quiet and vibration-free, but weighs a ton (about 95 kg) so it was quite amusing getting up a couple of flights of stairs to my second floor flat.
