I'm after a beginners guide to photography book for the other half for Christmas.
We recently brought a Fujifilm HS10 and it'd be nice to get more out of it than just point and shoot.
Try Amazon. Type in the name of the camera and there maybe a
book that gives you different assignments to get the best out of your camera.
Other than that find a local organisation or evening course and buy some magazines.
Found this link for beginners on the HS 10

takes you from beginner to Pro, written as an easy chatty guide. Not too technical, more, set this, set that.
I'm currently reading understanding exposure by bryan peterson. So far so good.
