A regular road bike. No need for discs.

Try a Giant - whatever the SCR equivalent is (Defy?).

i have a pomp, and hadn't initially felt that i would mind not having discs, but i am about to complete a conversion to a disc on the front. when i'm carrying a lot of stuff on it the v-brakes aren't strong enough and are too hard work over a few miles to get it stopped. also, i just can't stand having to constantly adjust them to keep them working properly.

so i would go for discs if poss if you're planning to put things/panniers on the rack.

Kona Dew Drop fits all your criteria. Not worth the full RRP but some good deals available on the net from time to time. I got my mrs one as her new bike from Wiggle for about £400.

I think most of your options will come as triples, but what about a Bad Boy? (Although they've always struck me as thief magnets!)
