So how much will my bananas be worth in a day or two when you can't buy them in the shops? Or have the panic buyers already cleared the shelves?

I'm down to my last one 😐

My fault mind, I shouldn't have eaten three today. Huge they were and all - I had trouble getting a whole one down me

Yep, worrying times indeed..........when you don't know where your next banana is going to come from

Don't bananas arrive by boat? Now, if you had a few Mange Tout...

Fine beans, sugar snaps, mange tout, babycorn....

I work for a wholesaler and we couldn't get hold of these at all on Saturday so it doesn't bode well for this week at all.

Sadly bananas arrive by plane and are then ripened chemically in temp controlled warehouses, so there'll be plenty for a while but that won't mean the price won't rise!

rOcKeTdOg,

Do you have shares in bananas? Are you trying to start a panic?

No problem getting nice nanas here. There are bloody shed loads of them growing just down the road. Maybe we will have a glut of them if we can't export them for a few weeks!

So I was wrong - my bananas aren't worth as much as I thought. Any bids for some baby sweetcorn a bit past their sell by date?
