We have a little Boston Terrier pup coming to live with us soon and we are trying to come up with a name for her. We have a 5yr old Boxer called Roxy and we are open to suggestions for the name of our new arrival. Its been a quiet day so the funnier the better please 🙂

Either....

Nboogie. That way, when the little scamp jumps on the furniture, you can yell, "Get down..."

Or, Myface.

With this latter, if the pooch is lollygagging and not keeping up with you as you stroll through a crowded park, you can shout loudly, "Come on..."

Not that it probably helps, but at some point I may be getting a couple of whippets and they will be called Wizbit and Woolly.

I had two Springers a while back, one called Banger and one called Mash, Bangers and Mash, geddit? (both were boys BTW, does that matter in our Politically Correct world these days?)

You can borrow either name if you like.

Came across this list recently, you might find it useful:

(there's a list of girl's names too)

Eithin says hi.

Names are not important as they all become Yerlittlefuggingbastid at some point. 😐

Fenton! Might get old pretty quick though.

Proud (?) owner of two spaniels here, one called Ted, the other Ralph. They're always going on about the drainage in the lower field. But then it is hard to keep spaniels out of water.

By the way, I believe that you have forgotten the first rule of STW dog club... One does not talk about puppies without posting a picture.

Get posting.

😀
in our case it's
OiTedYerlittlefuggingbastidComeHereNow 🙂
Rarely though, now - recently turned 2 and he is calming down a lot...

As for the OQ by the OP - I think you already have the answer, right in front of you. Whilst i'd usually be suggesting Rosie or something, i'm rather taken by Boston...

Edit - just looked up photo's of the boston terrier - new suggestion, based on a search for the Greek for 'Ears' 😉 = call her Auris

Well, she's been with us for over a week now and we are thoroughly enjoying her. Lots of puppy cuddles going on in our house. Say hello to Minnie 😀 [IMG] [/IMG]

I've always thought Dave or Steve or Keith would be an amusingly inappropriate name for a dog, even more so for a cat.
