Pretty colours in the sky over West Calder .
Pity it takes a raging storm to make Bathgate look pretty

Cool that they seem to be wideley visible. Not many in the office seem to be sharing my enthusiasm when I try to explain why my face is pressed against the kitchen window

Nice photos, not often you see such good displays of nacreous clouds. Noctilucent clouds are beautiful, but about as rare.

Saw these just outside of Darlington around 5pm. They were the same colours as a drop of oil in water.

Sorry for the poor photo, a very large black cloud obscured the view somewhat.

It did go a bit apocalyptic before the sun set!

So approximately 25 years after seeing them I finally know what those funny lights in the sky were!

No one would believe me that i had seen the northern lights on the south coats of the UK, but no one offered any other explanation :-/

I've seen a Broken Spectre as well 🙂
