- have a serious action sport as a hobby that necessitates such a watch (I'm talking arctic exploring, not running/cycling)
- work for casio...why would you wear a watch that looks like it was designed for a 12 year old boy?!

Well, I do quite a lot of mountain biking, sailing, climbing, diy etc, and my only other watch is a £3k Brietling that I was bought for my 30th which I'd prefere not to trash. This G-shock has just cost me £16. I'm happy with trashing that!
