Hi, I got this email today. Might interest some folk in/around Edinburgh who are into walking, climbing etc. I might go along. Just noticed though it's at 14:15, so for those of you working it'll probably not be convenient 🙁

Martin Moran - Scotland’s Winter Mountains

Martin Moran takes the audience through a celebration of Scotland's
winter landscape, weather and climate, giving special prominence to some
of Scotland's amazing winter seasons. The talk highlights the
contributions of leading climbing pioneers and examines the specific
hazard of avalanches.

Admission: £8 (adults) free for RSGS members, students and U18’s

The Royal Scottish Geographical Society (RSGS) is an education charity
established in October 1884. It aims to inform and inspire people about
the world around them, through a programme of illustrated talks, a
colourful quarterly newsletter, and a range of other educational
activities. The RSGS is helping to make the connections between people,
places and the planet, for the decision makers of today and the citizens
of tomorrow. RSGS members have free access to c100 of these talks each
year.

RSGS HQ is at Lord John Murray House, 15-19 North Port, Perth, PH1 5LU.
