Meh, I'm fine with the principle of this. It is a massive waste that such a database doesn't exist already given the scope for medical advancement it would bring. And if the NHS make money selling it to global corporations then all the better.
They've been giving it away for years, the only reason they've not tried selling it before is because of headlines like that.
I'm glad they have finally seen sense and are trying to get some money in for it. It's anonymous so it can't be traced back to individuals, I don't have an issue personally. YMMV.
