Ooh there's a s****y new look market as well, thanks for the heads up.
Is there?
Did you just get a firmware update?
downloading update right now 🙂 wonder if it'll stop sending me on totally crazy routes, usually involving bus lanes/gates and random u-turns instead of just turning right?
like the map tilting with a 2 finger down swipe
I can tilt the map down but can't make the 2 finger rotate work on my desire.
Same spooky.
the new market is being rolled out by android version/device model, i believe. not got it on my SGS yet, but just updated google maps. very nice.
ooh, just looked at my htc and it's downloading the new version as I type 🙂
I can't even tilt on my desire. What am I doing wrong?
Onza, you using two fingers, and dragging them down the screen?
Cheers spooky. I can now tilt. Can't do the two finger turn though.
I found that it worked better if you have your two fingers slightly further apart than should be necessary.
(duplicate deleted)
can you tilt in the uk?! Mine only seems to tilt in america.
tilts fine in devon
Tilt in the UK is fine, but I can't get it to rotate (Desire - 2.2)
as druidh, tilty but no spinny
been reading the help pages. evidently it's an htc desire thing rather than a google problem...
Got the new market on my HTC Hero, not tried the maps yet.
How do you get the new market?
Tilty but no spinny on my desire, altough if you double click the location button you get a compass arrow on the screen and the map on screen to aligns itself with North/South on the ground which is much more usefull than being able to randomly turn the map
*Not all features work on all phones*
Not all phones have the required multi touch capability to use all the new navigation features in google maps, so if some things don't work for some people, that's probably why.
Tilty and Spinny on my Desire HD ..... nice
Confirmed by Google, MT rotate doesn't work on the Desire (and many other phones).
