As much as I love sausages from a local butcher the caramelised red onion ones from Costco deserve a mention.

In personally conducted tests, 9 out of 10 women preferred the taste of Irish sausage. As did hora.

I'm supposed to be on a low-sausage diet, but I can't resist these whenever I find myself in North Wales...

Which is quite often, thankfully.

We've got a local Charcutier - absolutely awesome sausages and bacon: Burtons bangers

If anyone's anywhere near the north east; take a trip to his market stall and be mightily impressed 🙂

I was being intentionally slightly provocative 🙂

The Cauldron ones aren't bad for veggie, though.

A tip. Boil your sausage for a few mins. Then grill as normal.

I'm ashamed to say I do not know a decent butchers round our way. Anyone recommend one in manchester? City centre-ish please so I can call in on my way home.

Buzz, why? Flavour, texture, (whisper) healthier?
And don't aficionados say fry 'em don't grill?

I've been flagrantly showing the ladies of the southwest my Irish sausage this week. Many have been impressed. Many have called the police. I just told them "binners made me do it".

Look for the Red Tractor logo on your sausages to ensure the highest welfare, best quality, British, pork in your sausages!

Bravissimo - I'm proud to be associated with you flaunting your sausage 😀

Donk - if you're in Chorlton then Frosts or the little irish rotisserie place on wilbraham road both do top notch sausages. If you're in town the butchers in the arndale market is good!

One of the things I miss most being down under is a decent banger. Specifically those from Mr Bowtell's local farm shop in Hampshire. Casting no aspersions on those shrink-wrapped examples above, these are hand made in his shop from the pigs outside. I look back on my life so far as being pre-Bowtell and post Bowtell sausage.

My local butcher, Frost's in Chorlton, does some wonderful pork & black pudding sausages. The venison ones are pretty good too.
