Apologies if this has been done already or if it's perceived as spamming, but as it's the season of good will....
If you (or anyone you know) are thinking about making a donation to a local charity this Christmas, see if you can do it by LocalGiving as their Christmas Match Fund is currently matching pound-for pound donations to local charities.
i.e. you donate £10 and it's matched so the charity receives £20 (or £22.50 if you Gift Aid your donation).
For example, Life Cycle UK is a bristol based charity that promotes cycling, and has projects which work with isolated older people, disadvantaged youngsters, those recovering from mental illness and a tandem project which takes visually impaired and disabled people out cycling:

Naturally there are shedloads of other fantastic causes also participating in the matched giving scheme, so see if there is one local to you which could benefit.
disclosure: I am in no way affiliated with LocalGiving but am involved with Life Cycle UK, I first got involved as a volunteer helping with their projects and now i'm a part time employee.
lifecycle sounds fantastic!!
