If you're thinking of buying new pick ups have a dekko at www.geminipickups.co.uk - turned my mild mannered Pacifica (would be with a name like that) into something a lot meaner. I still can't play for toffee, but what a sound!

The best upgrade that you can make to any electric guitar (assuming it plays ok and stays in tune). Too many people are obsessed with adding more fx into the signal chain when they should be looking at replacement pickups.

i'm planning on getting some bare knuckle pickups for my guitar (once i have bought the guitar firstly,as no guitar/amp at present).i just have to decide between a squier tele standard (antique burst),or a pacifica 112 (in either aqua blue/vintage burst). then a lovely new yamaha thr 10 amp 😀

See if you can find an old Pacifica - the guy who worked on my guitar said they're far better quality than the new stuff and worth upgrading. Bare Knuckle are expensive - I was told probably too good for the Pacifica!
Squier tele classic vibe is worth looking at.
Have a look at http://www.imuso.co.uk/ for deals on guitars and amps. Good service too.

I'm a huge fan of Bill Lawrence pickups. I've had a set in one of my Ibanez RGs for a few years now and I'm planning on getting a set for my RGA when I've got some spare cash.

I've also got an old Pacifica 604W, one of the higher spec ones, with it's original alnico pickups. Definitely go for a Pacifica, raceface90. They're by far the best, most consistent "budget" guitars I've played.
