Just been out in our street, what a FABULOUS sight

There’s a technical explanation about ice crystals that sometimes more clever than me will explain properly but it looks amazing. You can even see Jupiter really clearly with the naked eye

BTW that is not JJ Abrams style lens flare, the umbra is really there. Go and look

There's similar visible here in E Shropshire, but we're partly clouded over, so only really getting the 'top section' (i.e the northern half, effectively) of the ring; I'll not bother with a photo in the circumstances. Mrs Lawman is rather underwhelmed....
