Are people having trouble insuring their modified vans at all ? What's your starting point with your broker - insure it as a modified panel van or a self build camper / day van ?
Just playing around with a few options at the moment.

I've been with adrian flux for about 5 years now. Mines a modified panel van but they insure it as a camper van.

Brentacre were cheapest for me, on a standard van with some mods planned

Flat rate covers van plus future mods, just email them and they update the record. No premium change up to 'stage 1' remap, camper conversion etc.

Adrian Flux (current insurer, fair price)
Camptons (Over 25's only so didn't qualify)
Insurance Choice (good price but customer service was patchy)

I'll have to consider Brentacre as I might get my current van remapped...

Cheers Chaps - No real problems then. - Just out of interest, do any of you have a pop tops ? - Just wondered if 'structural changes' to the van may alter things ?
Might do IHN.

Generally a self build camper policy will cover all manner of unspecified changes.
Number of belted travelling seats is probably the most important one to specify in case of a personal injury claim.
