I want to do the Prince 2 practioner course, I'm not going to gt any help with funding from work but if I can get its definitely worth my while.
What I want to know if anybody can recommend online training and prices?
The only advice I can offer is be very careful which training provider you choose. I haven't done Prince 2 but am Six Sigma accredited and both of these seem to attract fly by night training outfits. If it looks cheap check that you are getting the recognised qualification and not just a lookalike. The on-line ones are the biggest offenders as well.
I can't recommend any online trainers but I did it over a week with the Knowledge Academy and was really impressed with them.
Seemed to recall it was around £750
I used Knowledge Academy for Prince 2 and ITIL. very good, and would recommend.
I used Paloma Consulting for my f2f Six Sigma.
Like all of these things, you learn the theory, then ignore it in practice 8)
I did the voice over for our companies e-learning course.....
Has anybody self learnt Prince practioner and then taken the exam? If so, this may be an option id consider, any recommendation for books
I did some training with Association of PM's. I've not done Prince 2 as work (UK Govt) won't pay. The APM trainer said Prince 2 is a bit dated and too bloated. (Like the civil service it was designed for).
Any way I would suggest looking at APM website for inspiration. They were good for me.
My company still recognises prince as the big one and the current role I'm looking at only are interested in prince
