Not sure if been asked already but : decided to chance my luck claiming for a PPI refund against mis-sale of mortgage protection. We were told at the time of 1st mortgage we must have it and they wouldn't give us the mortgage blah blah... Anyhow, after speaking to the building society and a wait of about 4 weeks, they've offered us the first year of premiums plus interest. This leaves a further 4 or 5 years they won't refund - Do I take this (quite grateful TBH)or go back and say I want the lot as basically they're saying there's a case to consider here ???
Go after the full whack. Once they make an offer you are in as they are accepting fault.
PS this is based on guess work and assumptions, you know more about this than I do.
