Shower started fine this morning - Suddenly pressure was down and the motor groaning i.e. seemed increased workload - I have just changed brushes so that not a problem. The shower suddenly went hot at the time and is hotter when electricity switched off. Do you think its worth checking the cold feed/inline filters? I doubt its the motor and the PCB I think is just a startup induction function/overheat? - have a new shower on order but I can prob send it back or cancel it anyway?

Definately worth looking at the filter in the shower unit, it is very small.
But how old / long has the shower been used? If only a year or less then the water supply is dirty, the filter should not get blocked if the water is good/ clean.

- I have just changed brushes so that not a problem.

In a set of constants, that is the variable - are you sure it is still working correctly?

No the brushes were working perfectly for the last 2 months - I wonder if something has dropped into the header tank and gone down the pipe and blocked the cold feed filter? It only has a ploystyrene and pvc bagged lid which is a bit cracked so possibe?

if you take the showerhead off the hose is it still struggling?

it's likely there's a blockage somwhere and the shower head is the easiest to check.

also switch to fully cold ont he control and see what flow is like.
