I'm sure this has been done to death, but which courier type thingy would be the best to send forks with??

I've always unsed Royal Mail Parcels from my post office. Recorded delivery and never had a problem.

Posted some very recently royal mail special delivery. From memory, cost about £9 and got there next day.

just used royal mail recorded delivery, done it loads in the past

Have a look at http://www.interparcel.com/

They seem to be a middle man. Quote and book on-line and someone like Royal Mail, UPS or DHL will turn up. Always been cheaper for me than going direct with a carrier. I've used them for skis, mountain board, bikes and been great.
