Ok, I'm possibly writing the fun quiz for my local pub (fewer than 100 yards away, quel domage!) and I'm wondering if these questions will be too hard (there will be twenty questions, these are just the potential first five):
What’s the nickname of the Arsenal football team?
If you toss a coin five times and they all come up heads, what is the probability of the next toss coming up heads?
Which alliterative aircraft manufacturers built the Hurricane and the Spitfire?
Is 34,566 a prime number?
What is the next number in the sequence 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13? (and, for a bonus point, name the sequence)
Answers and comments if you would, please! Thanks...
I always go with the rule
80% of Questions - The Majority should get right
15% of Questions - Hard not impossible
5% of Questions - Perhaps 1 or 2 people will know the answer too.
There's nothing worse than a quiz that is too hard or too easy.
I think you're striking a good balance.
Thanks UncleFred: hard to go with those guidelines when you already know the answers ad think the questions are all easy!
Test it on someone you know won't be there. Preferably someone that would fall into the 15% Category.
UncleFred: don't know anyone who wouldn't know the answers AND won't be there!
