Never managed to get through yet.

No never even been tempted to phone up.

I often play along, competing with a couple of mates on Messenger. The oldies leg me up mostly, when the question starts "in 1965..." I'm knackered.

Apparently when you ring up, you get asked a few preliminary questions, you've got to get those right to get through.

Me and a guy at work have been running a competition on PM when we can both listen in. Been going for about 10 years now and it's 637 to me, 622 him. He's retiring soon so, hopefully, I'll win the £10 bet 🙂

Listen when I can. Recently tried to get on - failed three times in a row. Yopre asked three questions, must get two right to be in with a chance. If I score over 20, it's a good day, so perhaps not a bad thing that I didn;t get on, though yesterday was quite low scoring (very hard questions though so understandable!)

I like it best when someone boasts they regularly get high scores and then don't .ha.
When I was a youth ,"bits and pieces" on the radio one roadshow was fiercely competed in our workshop.

Not been on pop master but won a leather waistcoat on hastings rock!

I normally do well on Pop Master but fail on the 3 in 10. There's no way I could go on and not swear if I fluffed an answer.
Edit, I easily beat both people yesterday.

I am abysmal at 3 in 10, my mind just goes blank every time. It could be a favourite artist and I'd probably fluff it.

Been listening to it for years, I struggled on it yesterday,can't believe how often I'm 'one year out'.
Still to hit 39 points...

love it, but cannot stand the 'hellos' at the end!

I was on years ago, absolutely horrendous and only managed 4 points!
Got my Ken Bruce CD wallet though, keep thinking of trying again as there's loads have done worse than me.
I think the best score I've ever got was 36 when it was all 90's questions though whoever was on picked a different subject to what I would have given the choice!

As far as the hello's go, I didn't say hello to anyone at the end and afterwards when I had to go and drop some bits off for one of my bosses he went mad cause I didn't mention his name. Always thought if I did get back on I'd say hello to everyone I worked with at the time except him for a laugh.

Round 1 .... 18 points. Shite but better than the actual contestant so a bit of a mixed bag. 2 years out.

Round 2 ..... 30 points. Nailed the bonus questions plus nailed the year. Winner. I'm quite frankly stoked. 😀

Did a hell of a lot better than yesterday, 33 points on round 2,even got the year!I don't think I got 12 points in total yesterday...

The quiz in isolation is a good thing, it's the programme it's nested in that annoys the bejuovers out of me 🙄

A couple of times recently it's been bands I love. I shout at the radio "Ooh, ooh, Ultravox!! (or whoever), umm, umm, White China, umm, umm, All in One Day wait was that a single, no I think it was One Small Day? Hold on, Dances with Tears in their Eyes. No, Dancing. Not Dances. Has it finished?" Didn't even get Vienna! 😆
