Bathroom radiator is leaking between the radiator and the valve tail. I've drained it down and removed the radiator from the wall in the hope I could remove the tail, clean it up and reseal.

There are no external flats on the tail so I was hoping to find an internal hex.

However, what I have is a 14mm bore with two tangs 180° apart.

What is the tool called so I can complete this little job?

Radiator spanner - though not all of them have a slotted end
The Toolstation set looks like it might have!

If memory serves correctly I think actually a normal radiator valve spanner will do the job. Although they look like hex both ends, the shorter side is shaped to press against the tangs inside the valve. It did feel like a bodge, but I assume it was designed that way for a reason.

Cheers chaps. Just picked one up and oddly the end that should fit, didn't. The square on the other end did though. Neither tail was tight though.
Was also surprised to find the sealing done by o-rings* rather than PTFE tape.

*Certainly not at O shaped cross section now.
