What pressure should the air jacket of a pressure vessel be set at? The same as the boiler blow off threshold or higher or lower?
normally 0.5to 1 bar on a standard house, be sure to test pressure with the heating not under pressure, IE pressure relief valve opened.

set the pressure at 1 bar but it must be done when the system is depressurized

With a car tyre foot pump I found that the plumber had installed a 3 bar pre-charged vessel on the system that should have been no more than 1.5 bar to prevent litres of hot water being dumped every night!
Recharged correctly last night and pressure now being handled correctly! Nice one!

To be fair to the guys it's not a standard job and everyone's been learning as we go along so It's a pretty easy mistake to make as 1.5 bar blow-off valves arent that common as I understand.
