Any temporary (2yrsmax) solution to the above. The sheeting is heavily pitted with lots of little pin holes in the gulleys. I am thinking something to paint on or wrap it to get it weather proof until I can afford to replace the whole thing. Any ideas appreciated!

traditional approach is a big sheet of DPM or a tarpaulin.

Use wooden battens all around the edges to hold it down and stop it tearing away when the wind blows.

Flexacryl - paint it on and forget about it for the next 10yrs.
We use it industrially and its great stuff.
Screwfix or Toolstation for it or their own version.

Yep that's your answer the stuff we use is called Supacryl but they are all much the same, we just tend to say slap some jollop on it.
Works well on concrete as well.

Isoflex. Paint it on and forget about it for twenty years.
