[Closed] Phone unlock code ???

I've done a couple of iPhones.

I knew what network they were on so approached their customer service and asked how it was done. On O2 it was as simple as buying a SIM card on the existing network with enough credit to cover the unlocking charge, £15 IIRC, then asking customer services to unlock it. They take the payment from the SIM, and I just followed their instructions from their website.

Rather painless really.

The original owner can request the unlock code free usually. Why people sell phones still locked when it's easy to unlock item not sure. Makes the phone more attractive to buyers and will fetch a higher price.
