[Closed] PC Spec Content

Hi

Its been ages since I bought a PC let alone played any games

Over the years I have wasted countless hours on Doom, Half Life, HL2 and MOHAA (and the Civ games)

I dont need or want to spend £££££ on a high end hardcore gaming machine but Im curious about:

1) Whats the current 'fashionable' game? FPS but would consider anything really if its hideously addictive

2) What off the shelf spec machine would play it reasonably well

I actually need the pc to run photoshop, lightroom as well as word process and surf
What Id like to know is how much extra would I need to spend for something that would play a game without too much jerkiness or lag
