I work remotely from the office and use Outlook 2007 (usually in offline mode). Has been a pain in the ar5e lately because of sync errors losing stuff, etc. Have tried repairing both OST and PST files but nothing's improved. The only good thing is that when I access my account via webmail, everything is there and hunkydory ... which means the data does at least exist, I just need my local copy to see it.
So, I've decided it's time to remove my local instance (export/backup to PST is still best?), then delete the account and set it back up again.
Is this the best option and is it safe? i.e. is there a way of checking all the data (contacts, tasks, calendar stuff, email folders) are definitely on Exchange, and that if I therefore delete my local account I won't be losing anything?
Have tried Googling a guide (and looking at the MS site) but nothing concrete has appeared yet.
Cheers in advance
