I'm listening to a bit of klf at the mo.
Earlier it was Rhythm is Rhythm on my ipod but it could have been well pretty much name it from 87-89 always liked this

****in student!
GW - I was there first time round too though. 😀
KLF absolutely blow everything else out of the window for me - absolutely mad, crazy but brilliant music - Love the chill out LP too for late at night (used to be just got home music).
Utah Saints aren't far behind.
Jam and Spoon? Bit more commercial but popular for a reason and were always a hit even on the most up-themselves dance-scene back in the early to mid 90s.
Loads of other stuff that I never found out the track name or artist too. Or an Oakenfold "Cheesy Feet" mix that I found on a tape left in a hire car.
Ah, that's got some memories going 🙂
I have just put on Leftfield Leftism
It was all done and dusted by 1990 AFAIC
Jam and Spoon. Fantastic.
Mate I have to say I think that last link is shite..
Cybil when I'm good and ready?
Bee Gees-Stayin alive -that was a dance classic back in the 70's... 😉
Band in a box...Get dynamite.
whereas -
yep, definitely a 'standard' there jools 😉
I think these days the kids call it the shizzle or something equally inane back in my day it were a tune...
The youth of today think that they are sooooo hardcore - they wouldnt have lasted 2 seconds back in the day. 😉
I'll stick with 'standard' ta 😉
You're wrong about that J&S link btw 🙂

to name a few
joolsburger,
Don't dare disagree with this -
😉
I need to be more off it than I am to fully appreciate I expect.
Brings back some serious memories.
More link! Trouble with clubbing all the time back then (hence the nickname - sort of...) was that I never really found out the names of the tracks which makes them hard to find...
Access was my favourite tune from the mid 90's. Regular at the allnighters at the mighty Que Club (Atomic Jam, Spacehopper, House of God, Ultimate Orange, Antidote...). I remember one messy NYE at Fantasy Island with Dave Clarke mixing Access into the chimes of Big Ben with Ribbz MCing over the top.
Sat nights used to be Que/wherever - into Mcdonalds at 06:00, wait for the West End Bar to open at 7:00...stay there til Subway City opened...or Sundissential.
Oh nice one I'll raise you
Does it get better that the last train to trancentral though?
leftfield's not forgotten:

Where would Baby D fit into this equation?
It wasn't really my cup of tea....I liked it hard!
Given that there are a number of KLF fans gathered here - there was a B side to something or other that quite liberally sampled Voodoo Chile (slight return)
Any remember the name of the track?
Oh, and erm.... [url=
Tank
Skid, just google klf and voodoo chile 😉
I liked this by them
has anyone else got the KLF kopyright liberation front album with the bloke describing thier midsummer ritual on that scottish island? insanity...
The youth of today think that they are sooooo hardcore - they wouldnt have lasted 2 seconds back in the day.

OK, my apologies, most of that stuff is mid-late 90's (when I started going out and listening to half decent music), but I missed out on the summer of love by a Decade sadly!
Of course though, can't forget the absolute classic that is Alison Limerick!
Man, no way am I gonna sleep now after listening to that lot! Got me right in the mood for a banging old skool Techno night that lot has!
I've built up my collection of late 80's / early 90's dance MP3's to over 17 gig now.
I'd post the track listing but it would crash the forum 😆 😆

Most of mine is on compilation cd now but still have vinyl - faves are

🙂
i think this says it allThat's embarassing. It's like listening to my dad. What makes it even worse is the fact that it comes from Henry Rollins who should ****ing know better
Rollins comments at the end about commercial rock is even more accurate.
This is really really old but great. 😀
Always been more into Detroit but a couple of 80s Chicago classics always raise a smile:
