I am not ashamed to admit that I absolutely love this song, especially the bass, the organ and the vocals, and all the other bits, and the video.

Could she be a moonlighting track cyclist...?

Tune not really doing it for me, but could be a grower. Sounded a bit hot chip but missing something.

I can't get enough of this ditty. (except youtube thinks I'm in the US and won't let me play the damn video!)

Very pleasant, even if it does sound a bit like a Casio VL Tone preset rhythm.

Ive been dabbling in a little Dubstep the last few weeks. Most of you will f'in hate it and I'm sat laughing to myself at the Deborah Meaden-esc faces I envisage you pulling listening to this. Still, I quite like it. However, I fear the point will be quite lost on a set of pc speakers. I had to laugh at one of the comments posted to the video, "my sub just swallowed the cat", which sums up everything.

I wasn't. I was pointing out that sitting down makes everybody's thighs look bigger than they might actually appear while standing up.

And I wonder how many on here can do what she's doing. I know there are a few other skinbashers on here but none have posted on this thread to my knowledge

John, did you see the thread about Meg White from The White Stripes?

It was pretty misogynistic (had to use spellchecker for that, LOL)

Capt. Spaulding - I have indeed heard the original, I love that too. Just like her take on it also, slightly biased as pianos are up there with my favourite instruments and female vocalists are just the best. 🙂

no, I missed that one. thankfully.

I've got used to the usual drummer jokes (there's about 4 or 5 of them and everybody seems to think you've never heard them before) so I wouldn't be surprised to see them pop up on here...

Sorry, that didn't come over right. You're...clever...I don't think about you listening to the sort of music I like as well, I imagine you reading big thick books with very very small writing in it. LOL

Edit, cool tune, thanks.

You're...clever

where on earth did you get that idea from?

Anyway, when midsomer murders has finished I shall go back through this thread harvesting new choons - I need some new albums, worn out my latest favorites.

Lots of good stuff here. Thanks for some new tips - esp. not squares. Anyway - it's bedtime for us all, surely, so time for something relaxing. Turn this up, then go on Amazon to buy some new speakers.

They opened with Tell 'em I nearly poo'd myself LOL

john_drummer - I'm a long time drummer. That lass off the first vid is just 'hammering nails' as my dad would say. 😉

Fancy seeing Stephen Perkins again, given the chance, apparently the band are at Leeds Festival this year...

I wouldn't say she was even hammering them - more of a tickle 😉

as I said, the song didn't do anything for me - far too twee & going nowhere, but sometimes this place is like a building site. "phwooar get a look at that drummer, she's got...." etc. Not nice, necessary, welcome or valid.

@Richpenny - nice recommendation. Reminds me of Capitol K, I think. Or it could be something else. Is good to hear a nice bit of singing now and again.
