Off to New York for a few days, If I only have time to go to one bike shop, which one should I go for ?

Why go to New York and go to a bike shop? They are basically the same the whole world over these days. If you've only got a few days there then concentrate on the stuff that only exists in NY.
That's my opinion obviously.

Tend to agree, you won't find any bargains there, just enjoy the break! If you're feeling brave, you can ride around the whole island, stopping off at the trails at Highbridge Park, surprisingly tricky. But don't go there too early, full of 'undesirables'!!
