We will be in touch
After saving up, about 5 months ago my son bought himself a Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini phone that has worked perfectly until about two nights ago. Now it won't charge.
I have tried plugging his cord straight into a USB port instead of a wall outlet to see if it was the plug-in, but that doesn't work.
Now, I know nothing about these technological/electronic things. Is there anything I can do, or anything it is likely to be that can be easily fixed at a shop? Or is this a warranty replacement?
Forgive me if I bump this one more time tomorrow morning. If anyone out there can give me an answer I need to catch them, as I have told my son that STW will pull through if any place can...
Assuming it's not the cable (have you tried another?),
Pull the battery and then put it back together, try again.
If it's been flat for a while it might need "bump-starting." Plug it in, leave it for 30 seconds, unplug, count to three, and repeat half a dozen times.
If it's still dead, is it under warranty?
Ah, my son and step daughter have these phones and have the same problem.
Turn the phone off then it should accept a charge, or at least both of theirs have so far.
I'll give that a try, Cougar. Thanks. The problem with the battery is that (bizarrely) it is inacessible to the user (or so it seems). I will plug away at it tonight.
worst case scenario, new battery. but make sure the charger leads are ok before you splash out. Are you sure it's inaccessible?
I've just had a Desire motherboard changed as the charging port was damaged.
