It has to be trance.
That's it.

Go!

So hard to pick one, but I'll plump with Gouryella 🙂

Don't be angry that your parents named you after Santa 😉

Edit: Mr Nice, it's nominations only. Nobody will judge you. Nominate! 🙂

Love Trance, particular vocal and progressive. I’ll link one favourite and suggest a number of others.

Bullet in the Gun – Planet Perfecto

Beautiful – Matt Darey & Marcella Woods

Happiness Happening – Lost Witness

Strange World – M.I.K.E / Push

Carte Blanche - Veracocha

Silver Bath – Plastic Boy

Closer – Susana

Sun and Moon – Above & Beyond

Church of Ra – Digger

In and Out of Love – Armin van Buuren

Adagio for Strings – William Orbit

EDIT - changed as Lunge beat me to it.

I think I've said it before on a thread years ago on here, but worth repeating how astonishing this was on a loud live-set.

Good tunes there, especially Blank and Jones. Their cover of Kosheen's 'Catch' is superb.

That 4Strings track sounds like the very worst kind of cheesy soulless EDM shite.

Which is of course exactly what most trance is.

Are we allowed Psychedelic / Goa / Acid Trance (or whatever genre this is)?

Can't choose a favourite track - love this whole album. Reminds me of Welsh hillsides, dancing til the sun came up... ahhh, those were the days.

Currently listening to Trance Top 1000 - The Best Trance Classics by Armada Music.

4Strings 'Turn it Around' is a great one.

linking to Hallucinogen above and if we're posting albums then this has to be one of the most complete, well produced, flowing albums of any genre

Just went to the fridge to get a beer and started banging out some back-in-the-day moves, which at 42 and wearing my M&S jim-jams was tragic beyond description.

Not a Spotify playlist, but if you like your trance, get yourself Black Plasma's History of Trance, it's a big old download and is 8 hours long, but it's sooo good and the mixing is first class all the way through, most of the tunes already mentioned are in it too.

Unfortunately it got removed from SoundCloud but it's easy enough to find on Google.

Someone knock up a spotify playlist please. I'd probably vote Cafe Del Mar but that's been done.

And remember (sort of) being at Gods Kitchen when Tall Paul dropped this and the place went mental.

A letter known ATB track, but a classic:

Used to love hearing this, usually one of Oakenfold's last tunes he'd play in his 3 hour sets in the Courtyard at Cream. It was often preceded by the likes of Push - Universal Nation, Quench - Dreams and plenty of other tunes already mentioned. Great days!

Southern Sun is a good shout, I was in Gods when Tiësto dropped his remix of it for the first time, magical moment.

Anyone going to admit to wearing a cycling top clubbing? The precursor to cyber.

As much as I used to be into all these tunes and have wondered around off my face to plenty of them, they all sound pretty bad these days. Most really haven't stood the test of time.

Whereas most of these guys' stuff is still goes:
