That 4Strings track sounds like the very worst kind of cheesy soulless EDM shite.

Which is of course exactly what most trance is.

Are we allowed Psychedelic / Goa / Acid Trance (or whatever genre this is)?

Can't choose a favourite track - love this whole album. Reminds me of Welsh hillsides, dancing til the sun came up... ahhh, those were the days.

off to find a trance playlist on spotify, anyone have a recommendation?

Currently listening to Trance Top 1000 - The Best Trance Classics by Armada Music.

4Strings 'Turn it Around' is a great one.

ooh cosmosis, there's a blast from the past

linking to Hallucinogen above and if we're posting albums then this has to be one of the most complete, well produced, flowing albums of any genre

Just went to the fridge to get a beer and started banging out some back-in-the-day moves, which at 42 and wearing my M&S jim-jams was tragic beyond description.

I'm having flashbacks to driving round in my Fiesta in 6th form and first year Uni in halls with music blaring out from my PC. 😀

Not a Spotify playlist, but if you like your trance, get yourself Black Plasma's History of Trance, it's a big old download and is 8 hours long, but it's sooo good and the mixing is first class all the way through, most of the tunes already mentioned are in it too.

Unfortunately it got removed from SoundCloud but it's easy enough to find on Google.

Someone knock up a spotify playlist please. I'd probably vote Cafe Del Mar but that's been done.

And remember (sort of) being at Gods Kitchen when Tall Paul dropped this and the place went mental.

Not so well known but an absolute belter:

DT8 on a mission:

Getting melodic:

A letter known ATB track, but a classic:

Loads more where they came from 😉

Used to love hearing this, usually one of Oakenfold's last tunes he'd play in his 3 hour sets in the Courtyard at Cream. It was often preceded by the likes of Push - Universal Nation, Quench - Dreams and plenty of other tunes already mentioned. Great days!

Southern Sun is a good shout, I was in Gods when Tiësto dropped his remix of it for the first time, magical moment.

Anyone going to admit to wearing a cycling top clubbing? The precursor to cyber.

As much as I used to be into all these tunes and have wondered around off my face to plenty of them, they all sound pretty bad these days. Most really haven't stood the test of time.

Whereas most of these guys' stuff is still goes:

I'm a big BT fan. This is a great remix by Ferry Corsten. On a good stereo it's magic.

Current favourite is Simon O'shine and Sergey Nevone - In spite of Everything.
And a harder Edge Simon O'shine - Wostock.

And the only decent Trance tune 4 Strings did was Jewel. Even have it on vinyl.

Tiesto did a pretty good job on this more recently, but for the time this was epic during my youth in TQ1.

..and Tiesto's "let's be havin' you!" remix.
