Hi all, any one got any experience of the following....
I have 8 years NCB at the moment, if I decide to get rid of my car and cancel my policy then buy a new car in 3 or 4 months, when I apply to get that insured will I still have my NCB or do I have to start from scratch?

I was told by my broker yes, as long as I don't leave more than a year.

It will depend on your new insurer, but you should be able to 'use' it after just a few months. Several years gap perhaps not.
