Was just having a browse on BBC news, and this came up as a main story on the 'England' page:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-26380546

10cm - 4" of water on a road is now classed as flooding? Given what some parts of the country have faced in recent months, you think they'd have some sensitivity.

People have lost animals, their homes, businesses, some even their lives, but the BBC still sees fit to make a story out of the risk of someone getting their trainers wet?

Stroll on.

It's the 8th most popular story on the site. Mildly interesting IMO

Meh. I want my news full of Scotland, women priests and Dave Lee Travis.

given that it managed to come out of a pipe, and not be rain captured over significant numbers of hectares and channeled in to a small area... I'd call that quite impressive.

I'm guessing some of those people whose Nikes might get damp might find that not a lot comes out of their tap, and an attempted 2nd flush of the bog might be unwise?
