Low and behold just as I'm due for an upgrade my current Android phone ( HTC One x ) starts playing up, funny that...
Anyway, recent best of 2013 tests sees the LG G2 on top. Should I go for this or change the OS completely?

I have one myself and it's absolutely brilliant. It's waterproof so I'm never worried that my phone will die in my camelbak due to rain or moisture. The camera is really good especially in low light so you can make some great pics of the trails you ride lol!
On top of that great full hd Bravia screen and expandable memory (something that g2 won't have). I have put a 64gb memory card in mine which makes 80gb worth of storage!
Not sure if you plan to buy the phone outright (it's £329 on amazon atm) and get a sim only upgrade or just to upgrade to the new phone with a new tariff.
Alot of the rounds up i saw recently had the HTC One as the best phone of the year.
If the 4.7" screen is a bit too big for you, then there is the One Mini with the 4.2" screen.
Tho, the new One2 (or how ever it is titled) is due out in the next couple of months, so the One is likely to be discounted a bit from current costs soon.
