This looks fun - surely it can't be as bad as season 2?

Jesse from BB too!

Apologies if this has already been done, but I'm not checking all 24 pages of this thread.

Check out a short documentary called Pandemic on NETFLIX. 1 of a series of short docs on a variety of topics. This one given it was made last year or 2018 left me cold with regards to a certain country and its attitude to managing potential pandemic outbreaks.

Watched The Long Shot on Netflix the other day, enjoyable rom-com with Charlize Theron & Seth Rogen. Funnier than the average.

Watched first episode then binged the rest over a couple of nights. Man, I was screaming at those anti-vaxxers in the states. Loons.

I've been watching The Stranger, but not sure I can recommend it. It all seems a bit "ITV trying to be a bit clever", the castings weird and everyone is strangely affluent but don't do any work.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but I enjoyed Messiah, got you thinking "how would people react if he turned up"

It does look tempting, but god, series one became a bit of a chore (especially sitting through the monotonous opening credits), and S2, didn't stand a chance with me. I just don't know if I'm ready for any more yet.

I dropped Godless after 2 or 3 episodes as well.

Deadwood has set the bar high for TV westerns. Tough act to follow.

Are they following the books? It could get challenging…

Don't think so. Season 2 takes place on Harlan's World, and seems to revolve around a search for his slightly creepy mentor / girlfriend Quell.

Currently watching Picard, which is quite good, Narcos S3, which isn't as engaging as the first 2 and started Hunters, which is interesting. Not sure how it will develop, not what I was expecting anyway.

Just dropped in to say Sex Education was flippin' ace, best thing I've watched for a while.  Couldn't quite get my head round the "look" (dreadful 70's/80's house decor and cars, US high school preppy looking kids), but the characters were brilliant 🙂

The End of the F***ing World, wierd, dark humour that I ended up binge watching.

Don’t think so. Season 2 takes place on Harlan’s World, and seems to revolve around a search for his slightly creepy mentor / girlfriend Quell.

The first series was dire if you’ve read the book in my opinion. Turned an antihero in to a love sick puppy. Trailer for the second series looks even worse. The books have issues, but they deserve better.

Can’t believe any western fan wouldn’t like godless. Proper slow burn with a great cast, cinematography and build up to an epic conclusion.

Enjoyed the first episode of the latest series of Better Call Saul

Yes. Always forget how slow (in a good way)this series is. And how unrelated scenes are often played out for long durations.

Love it. There is nothing else on screen like it realpy. It gives lots of screen time to characters other than the main protagonists.

I've binge watched quite a bit lately,

Sex Ed thought that was brilliant, shame Otis ballsed things up

Ragnorak I thought was very good, a different twist on the myth, you can see where season 2 is going..

Hunters with Al Pacino, I think maybe marmite, but if you get your head around its fiction with some truth thrown in it's quite gripping, but figured out the ending by episode 7.. You'll notice elements of man in the high castle, but of tarrantino and some other Prime dramas..

Ww have watched Sex Education and The Stranger recently. Sex Education was great and much better than I expected. I think it helped that most of the main characters were likeable. The missus enjoyed The Stranger but i lost interest after the first couple of episodes as there was too many plot lines.

Altered Carbon is back. Woo hoo. Nothing like the books but still pretty enjoyable.

I watched first two episodes of the new series of Altered Carbon and it is very far removed from the books. Comes across as a bit Xena Warrior Princess (fight choreography) meets Blade Runner (set design) and has really bad plotting with a terrible script.

If I hadn’t read the books I’d probably see it as so bad it’s good, but they had some pretty decent source material. Must admit that I do like Anthony Mackie and Simone Missick, but they can’t save this.

“He’s the last envoy” is becoming the new “I’m the immortal Iron Fist” must be repeated every ten minutes 😀 I’ll still watch it all though.

"I'm not okay with this...."

50% Scanners + 50% Carrie

Episodes in places are quite short, overall enjoyed it and the build up!

Enjoying altered carbon but S2 3 episodes in feels like I'd seen it all before esp. the circle scene. Read the books yonks ago so don't remember enough of them to be critical of the tv show. Other than perhaps... They were better!

Just finished watching The Stranger. Apart from a bit of dodgy acting, an excellent series, and all set in Bolton/Bury/Didsbury. Ace.

Just finished Ozarks and Top Boy Summerhouse (never saw it first time around)

Half way through Top Boy 2019 and looking forward to the upcoming Ozarks Series due later this month.

Also looking forward to Homeland (on Ch4 series record), Saul, and the second series of Netflix's F1 documentary hoping Gunther Steiner's still in it. The Stranger also a candidate.

Just when you think you're running out you strike another motherlode.

After being implored on here to continue with Hinterland, I'm persevering and it is actually getting better. In the second season it seems like they may have brought in a different writing team, who realise that the most important part of a crime series is not the crime...

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but Rust Valley Restorers is ace! A car restoration programme (naturally) based in BC Canada, and seemingly a lot more 'real' than other shows of its type, e.g. they seem to be upfront as to who they have working for them. It's also bloody funny, unintentionally!

Tiger King is incredible, I wont put any details but have a google of the story/characters

I saw a review which said its making a murderer crossed with eastbound and down, which is pretty much perfect

Watched Lady Bird recently, brilliant film - heartwarming, funny and very original version of a coming of age story.

Highly recommended.

Been watching “Better than us” a Russian sci fi robot story, really enjoying it for it’s non Hollywood take on Asimov style robots

Then last 10 seconds of the last episode, OMG.

Ozark S3 - episode 2/3 are as good as anything I've ever seen on Netflix.

Jason Bateman is a good Director too. His handle on ep2 was terrific.

I also like the fact he said it won't go beyond 4 seasons.

Just finished s3 Ozark.

A fantastic season that gives equal weight to plot and character. Plenty of clever plot devices that don't quite go where you may expect. Emotionally a powerhouse too.

Brilliant final episode to a magnificent series.

I looked at Better Than Us but thought it just looked like a Russian version of Humans?
