We will be in touch
I have some random plants in my garden. No idea what they are. Can anyone help?
Many thanks,
Flowers were more red a few weeks ago.
Has a mix of red and yellowy green leaves
Seems to be developing some small pinky flowers. About 1m tall
I don't know any names. It looks like the first one has reversion, where one branch loses the two colour effect and goes back to the natural form. If that's so, it will be one (or more) branch that will come to dominate because it's more efficient at using sunlight. Remove it at source.
Or it could be a weed growing from below.
#1 - Euonymus
#2 - Skimmia
#3 - Pass
#4 - Pieris
Are you in my garden? Looks identical. Get out of my garden!
OK, as your there can you sort out my weeds, cheers.
1. Euonymus japonicus aureomarginatus
2. Skimmia japonica (most likely "Rubella" cultivar)
3. Not sure. Possibly Leucothoe axillaris "twisted red". Post another pic when it flowers!
4. Pieris japonica (without seeing the new foliage it is hard to say which cultivar but I would guess at "mountain fire")
Just compared these to the RHS website. I think you're spot on. Thanks for the help! Now to replant them all in the right place in the garden!
As pointed out the Euonymus has a reversion. This will likely be stronger than the rest of the plant so clip it out to maintain the vigour of the attractive form.

I thought Hindu Kush, Pineapple Express, Northern Lights & Skunk.
Sorry I wasn't as helpful as your earlier responses.
