Watched this last night, some of the funniest TV I've seen in a long time. All the best bits in a 2 hour special (OK, about 45 mins of that were adverts) Proper laugh out loud stuff and the new series starts on Monday 😀

The best reason to watch Mythbusters.....

There are other reasons but they escape me at the moment!

Kari is MOST definitely the best reason the watch Mythbusters, but just waching the guys getting paid to do stuff I'd do for free is great tv.

The BBC showed it for a while. Cut it down from its usual 45 mins plus adverts to a half hour show. It was a hell of a lot better for it.

The normal programme drags like mad as they try and stretch out out so much.

Number one must surely be the cement truck. One of the absolute most amazing things I have ever seen on TV!

BLAM!

If the show and its network live for a thousand years, men will still say "this was its finest hour".

Second best one was where they were trying to see if it was possible to parachute out of a helicopter using an inflatable life raft.

That is terrible photoshopping.

In real life she's got the whole girl next door thing going on, which for me is far better than the above bizarre image "based on" a real woman. Cute, happy and enthusiastic - top stuff.

Nothing wrong with ginger hair. I can't imagine who you're sleeping with, if you're that picky.

Hang on, surely the finest Mythbusters moment, certainly as far as STW is concerned, was when they exploded the myth about planes not being able to take off from a conveyor belt. [url=

That's the sort of comment that requires backing up with evidence...

I once asked my dad about this. If the truck is traveling at 35 and you approached at 45 aslong as you depressed the clutch pedal right (which Michael couldn't have done in Kitt cos it was an Auto) you'd be traveling at 10mph up the ramp. If you watch the series they don't go straight up the ramp. They hold it with the back wheels on the road for a bit to get the car at the same speed as the truck.

Michael could however have knocked it into neutral in an auto, giving the same effect as dipping the clutch.

All the people who think it's impossible should watch the Italian Job where they actually do it.

Watched it the other night, my folks in the other room could hear me laughing over the top of their own telly. The cement truck was one of the best telly moments I've ever see. Spectacular. As is Kari. Dear Lord, a pretty, cute girl who enjoys blowing stuff the f*c*up. And she's a redhead, so extra points there. Yowza!

I must disagree with all the above and say that my most favourite mythbusting ever is this:

[url=

Explosions are cool. Crushing a car with a rocket propelled sled is cooler. Also the section after when they try to explosively weld metal is pretty cool!
