Sorry guys.

I put 3 bets on this morning. For Bairstow, Roy and Root all to score 50+

My betting proves the usual kiss of death. Sorry! 🙁

Indeedy.
NZ are on top now imo.
Hopefully Stokes can smash it about a bit and take some pressure off.

I got NZ at 4-1 a bit earlier.

I don't think I'd get that now.

Right then stickballists - I have this as not looking good for the English. But Butler and Stokes would supposedly love a run chase like this. What needs to happen for this to go England’s way? (Apart from the obvious - or is it just the obvious?)

you have to say the sky commentary team would suck the joy from a trillion dollar lottery win.

the england team have been boundary obsessed, NZ were far more prepared to nudge and nurdle the 1s and 2s.

This is all my fault. I hoped for a close match to make it interesting as everyone was predicting a England walkover. No doubt I've sent more people to an early grave than Harold Shipman did.

I'm listening to the cricket and watching the tennis.

I don't recommend this.

I'm loving and hating this. Sometimes in the same ball.

At what point does pressure swing onto NZ; at this stage they are just doing their thing but if one of these two can change gear then they can easily take 15 or more off an over.

Remember Stokes going for all them sixes in the 20:20 world final......

Could we be in a 20 needed from the last over with him to do it?

I mean, fair play. People, me included, have been complaining this game has been too skewed in favour of batsmen with big bats just mishitting sixes.

NZ have defended 240 in the semis and now the final, against the two batting powerhouses of the tournament with guile, slower balls, cross seamers and a dibbly-dobbly 75mph bloke going at 3 an over.

[edit] and some great fielding

Super over - each side bats for one over, most runs wins it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Over

Stokes needs to sort his calling out though....... he's done two blokes in two balls neither of who faced a ball! That'd be a jug at my old club!
