I’m having withdrawal symptoms, I’ve listened to every cricket game of the World Cup, having to wait until tomorrow is causing anxiety. I’m going to be at a loss at the end of the Ashes!

A busy day ahead!

Radio 5 on. Out for supplies as soon as shops open then I’m not moving from the sofa for the rest of the day. Win toss and bowl

My missus has already started tutting about my occupation of the sofa.ha.
We’re a couple of mile north of Lords,it chucked it down earlier so I’d definitely put them in.

I used to do anxiety really well, so well in fact, that even since giving up the addictive behaviour I still get the occasional bout, albeit short lived. I am dealing with one right now... and they all start with the ‘what-if?’

What if England have peaked too early?????!! Do you see my dilemma?! 🤪

Supplies got in record time, I’m not budging now. 50:50 split on the radio whether to bowl or bat first, I’m still saying bowl

Morgan didn't sound too miffed to have lost the toss, almost as if he got what he wanted anyway.

I think I’d have bowled, it may well swing early and England have done a lot of good work chasing. Good toss to lose.

I have had to move the safa into the room with the telly so Mrs TJ ( the cricket fan in this house) can hide behind it

Watching cricket on free to air telly! 😁😁😁

My only mild grumble is the time delay between the picture arriving and TMS already having described the delivery. I much prefer the TMS commentary.

Does Jofra always bowl slightly short of a length? Someone needs to have a word with him, he’d be devastating if he pitched it up a bit

No, everyone saying he needs to pitch it up a bit.
The delay was annoying at the game on Thursday, was at least a ball behind the live action.... At least it gives you chance to hear what happened then look at screen to watch it, you won’t miss anything

England are drifting a bit now, and that is dangerous with Williamson around and accumulating. With the amount of movement I think England should have two or three wickets on the board by now......

Gah, just taken Rashid for more than a run a ball with limited risk. I don’t want England to have to chase more than about 240 on a sporty wicket...

I've used the pause button to sync tms with ch4 🙂

England seamers, bar Woakes, all pitching too short. IMHO of course 😉

Pausing the DAB radio?! There’s an idea! 😉

trying to multiscreen with the TdF and the XCO as well - every time I look at the channel 4 coverage it's adverts so I'm back to TMS only

Nice and balanced. Slight advantage England. IMO it all depends on those opening overs by the NZ bowlers

I’ve taken today as an opportunity to introduce Mrs Binners to the joys of cricket.

Comments so far:

It’s like shit rounders

Do you get bonus points if you can a ball into somebody’s pint? Or knock somebody out in the crowd?

She’s now decided that her blood pressure can’t cope with all this excitement and has left me to it, walking out with ‘that look’ which is a mystified 50/50 mix of both pity and contempt

Don't know a lot about cricket but is that catch very bad news for England?

Is there any indication of who's winning?

That is doubly poor from Root - rubbish cricket, to get frustrated to that extent and it's just lifted NZ again

Great game though
